Expire – Suffer the Cycle 7” – Mini Review

By James Terry  //  Music Reviews  //  No Comments

Expire recently dropped Suffer the Cycle on Six Feet Under Records, a follow up to the bands 7” out on Hellfish Family entitled Grim Rhythm. The new 7” is four new tracks kicking in just under six minutes. The band continues with their catchy blend of different hardcore styles. Suffer the Cycle has a slightly cleaner sound both vocally and overall in production. While so catchy it gets you hooked, and ends just as abruptly, I really can’t wait for more. The B sides are the standouts on the record, “Grip,” truly is the best track and what a closer. The album has these catchy heavy riffs with drum beats that will have you stomping along with every beat. As far as progression goes it doesn’t differ all too much from Grim Rhythm, it will be interesting as to what route Expire takes when they record their full length. They are currently on the road with Alpha & Omega and soon will hit the road with Harm’s Way and Venia, my suggestion hit up one of or both of those tours and hit up the merch booth, Expire puts down a solid set. – [James Terry]
